Qiyam-ul-layl is considered a prayer in which one is called to remember Allah (swt), and concentrate on the right things to be learnt and remembered during the night. It is related to Ishaa prayer. The Prophet (S.A.W) said: “The prayer of the heart is similar to “Ishaa” prayer. The Prophet (S.A.W) was asked about it and he said: It is the prayer of Allah (swt) which is (extended) before the prescribed prayer. It is like the prayer of the world, the prayer of the night, the prayer of the child and the prayer of the aged.
